Lava cake is super delicious and easy cake.
Ingredients
200g Semisweet chocolate
115g Unsalted butter
1/4 tsp Sea salt
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
60g Sugar
2 Whole eggs
2 Egg yolks
20g Self raisin flour
Extra butter and cocoa powder to dust ramekins
Method
Preheat oven 205C
Generously butter flour 6 ramekins, set aside until needed.
Place the butter, chocolate and salt in a large bowl and melt it in the microwave in 40 seconds. And stir well. You can also double boil the chocolate and butter.
Stir in the sugar and vanilla into the warm chocolate mixture.
Add the eggs and egg yolks and whisk them really well. Fold in the flour.
Pour the batter into the prepared ramekins. Make sure they are no more 3/4 of the way full, as it will rise as they bake. Place it on a baking tray and bake in on a pre-heated 205C oven and bake for 12-15min.
When the cake is done, remove them from oven using a napkin cloth, turn the cakes into a serving plates. Tap the ramekins with a spoon to loosen the cake and gently remove the ramekin to reveal the cake. Serve immediately while the cakes are still warm with a scoop of ice-cream and berry's.
