Sago puddingis a sweet pudding made by boiling sago with either water or milk and adding sugar and sometimes additional flavourings. It is made in many cultures with varying styles. It is also has so many health benefits.
Ingredients
100g of dry Sago
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of thick coconut milk or any milk you fancy.(Almond,Soya,Fresh milk,etc)
3-4 tbsp of Sugar or Juggery (Depends on the sweetness you prefer)
Handful of Cashews and Sultana optional
1/4 Salt
1/2 tsp of Vanilla paste or vanilla essence
Method
In a medium pot add the Sago, water, salt and bring it to boil. Sago will start to expand and will become translucent. If you think it needs more water, add more. Once all sago is translucent and thick, add the coconut milk and vanilla and mix well and bring it to boil. Add the cashews, sultana and sugar or juggery and serve hot.
