Pittu kothu

Pittu kothu is made with the basic pittu, vegetable and meat.


Ingredients


  • 2 cups of steamed pittu (broken into pieces)

  • 2 carrots julion cut

  • 1 bombay onion

  • 2-3 crushed garlic

  • 1/2 leek

  • 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds

  • Oil for tempering

  • 2 fried eggs

  • 150g of fried meat/fish/sausage

  • salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1/4 of hot bonnet (optional)


Method

First prepare pittu and leave it aside. You can find the recipe for this on my blog.

In a large wok heat the oil. Add the mustard seeds and let it splatter. Add garlic, chilli and onion. Temper it till golden. Add carrots and fry a bit. Add the fried meat, eggs, pittu, leeks and seasoning. Mix really well and serve hot with meat curry or kirihodi and chilli paste.
