Tempered Green Beans

Quick, easy and healthy green beans.

Ingredients


150g Frozen Green Beans or fresh

1/4 piece of Onion (finely sliced)

3-4 Garlic cloves (chopped)

1/4 tsp of turmeric

1/4 tsp raw curry powder

salt to taste

1/4 cup of thick coconut milk

1-3 tbsp Coconut oil or any oil

1/2 tsp mustard seeds


Method


In a clay pot or saucepan put the oil. once it’s getting hot add the mustard seeds, garlic and onion and temper it well! Add the frozen beans and all spices cover with a lid and cook for 5min. Open the lid and cook until the water evaporates. Finally add the little coconut milk, mix well and take off the heat! Goes well with rice.
